Drop City are proud to announce the return leg of an exhibition exchange with MAUVE, Vienna
why the long face, black sphinx? is an exhibition by the Vienna-based artist run gallery MAUVE, showing works by its founding members Daniel Ferstl, Titania Seidl and Lukas Thaler. The first exhibition, So, took place in Vienna in November 2015, presenting works by Drop City founders Paul Becker, Nadia Hebson, Sam Watson and Eleanor Wright.
The exhibition takes place at 36 Lime Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
And then suddenly we owned this garden.
Well, we didn’t own it, but we somehow conquered it.
A crystal garden, made of blooming amethyst and rose quartz.
The three of us tended to it and let it thrive.
Now and then a sphinx would stop by and grant us wishes.
We were given a horse, a cashmere jumper and the most beautiful chains,
shared a laugh and left in best of spirits.
